
Sofia Ioannou

Sofia Ioannou graduated from the Paphos Music High School with a dual specialisation in voice and piano. She studied Musical Theatre at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) (BA, 2019) and obtained a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre Performance from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (2020).
She performed in the one-woman musical Girl in a Crisis as part of the Nicosia International Festival (2021) and appeared in the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (THOC) production Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, directed by Paris Erotokritou (2023).
She also worked as an assistant director in the THOC production Vengera (2024), in which she also performed as an actress. Since 2022, she has been teaching at Ergastiri 25, Maria Chrysostomou’s music and theatre school, working with children from the age of three, as well as teenagers and adults. For the school, she choreographed and taught the musicals Encanto and The Addams Family (2023, 2024, Nicosia Municipal Theatre).
Over the past four years, she has been actively involved in theatre for children and currently performs in the production “The Little Shoes that Tell Stories”, which tours primary schools across Cyprus. Since September 2025, she has been teaching theatre at the American Academy Nicosia.
